A practical explanation of the technologies used when you browse, request a quote and book your journey.

1. Our public information pages
Cookies are small files a website can store on your device. Similar technologies include browser local storage and session storage. These technologies are different from ordinary server logs created when a page is requested.
The AECCO information website does not currently add advertising pixels, analytics tags or marketing cookies. Its navigation, destination filters and support-email form work without saving preferences in cookies or browser storage. Netlify hosts the pages and processes technical request information as described in our privacy notice.
We use CookieScript to display our cookie choices and remember your decision in a first-party cookie named CookieScriptConsent. This preference cookie is necessary to respect your choice and avoid repeatedly asking you. The banner loads from CookieScript's servers, which receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser information. See CookieScript's privacy policy.
Pages with online booking load the separate AECCO booking service inside a booking window. Its essential session storage and the address or payment services you choose to use are explained below. This notice applies to the AECCO site described here; another website you visit has its own settings and notice.
2. Essential booking session storage
The booking service uses browser session storage named aecco.booking.v15 on aecco-booking.netlify.app. It keeps the in-progress journey and contact details, booking identifiers, access token and checkout status so that you can move through the booking steps, return from payment and recover the same reservation without accidentally creating a duplicate.
This storage supports the booking service you request. It is not used by AECCO to track you across unrelated websites or to target advertising. It normally lasts for the browser tab's session; some browsers restore sessions, so closing and reopening a browser may restore it. You can clear the booking site's data through your browser settings.
Blocking or clearing this storage can interrupt booking or remove the local recovery information. It does not cancel a reservation, reverse payment or erase records already held by AECCO. Contact us with your booking reference if you need help. Do not use a shared device without clearing your own session afterwards.
3. Address lookup and payment services
When you use address suggestions or address lookup, the booking service connects to Google Maps Platform. Google receives the search or location information needed for that feature and technical information about the request. A current-location feature requires your browser permission; you can refuse and type an address instead. Google's own technologies and retention practices are explained in its privacy notice.
When you continue to secure payment, Stripe's checkout may use cookies and similar technologies for the payment session, security, fraud prevention and any additional features you choose. Stripe explains these in its cookie policy and privacy notice. Stripe's settings and choices apply on its checkout pages.
We do not treat acceptance of booking terms as consent to optional cookies or marketing. If we add a non-exempt storage or tracking technology that needs consent, it must remain off until you make that choice, with an equally accessible way to refuse or withdraw consent.
4. Your choices and contact details
Use Cookie settings in the footer to reopen the banner and change or withdraw your choice at any time. You can accept or reject optional cookies; refusing them does not prevent you from requesting a quote or making a booking. Essential booking storage is separate from optional marketing consent. If the banner is blocked by your browser or cannot load, we keep optional advertising and analytics consent denied.
Your browser can show and delete stored site data, block cookies and manage location permission. Essential booking storage may be needed for online checkout; you can contact AECCO if your browser settings prevent you from using it.
